Happy Summer

We made it! We are at the end of another school year! Below are some items that I want to remind everyone before you leave:

SCHEDULE

The marching band schedule for the summer/fall is located on the marching band page but also I am linking it HERE. PLEASE MAKE SURE to get these dates to your employers ASAP. The summer sectionals are VERY IMPORTANT so that we can help you all learn/memorize the music!

GOOGLE CLASSROOM

All of the music for the show is located on the Google Classroom page. If you are not connected to it, the code to join is vurqlsf.

SMARTMUSIC

CLICK HERE to join the SmartMusic group for Marching Band. This is where you can practice with loops, slow tempos down, see in real time assessments of whether you are getting parts correct and more!

AUDIO EXAMPLES

If you are NOT using SmartMusic to practice the music, you can also use audio examples to help in this process. Doing it this way will not allow you to alter tempos, practice with loops, etc….so I HIGHLY reccomend you use SmartMusic to practice with! The audio examples are all located HERE

SCHOOL INSTRUMENTS

If you turned in your school instrument to be cleaned/fixed….I will message you when it is available for pickup. Hoping to have them to you soon. Please try and find an alternative instrument to use for your practicing while this is happening. New recruits - if you are planning on using a school owned instrument (tenor sax, baritone sax, marching baritone, sousaphone, etc)….I will message you when they are ready to be picked up. Battery - you will be able to check out your drum and take it home after our first practice on June 14th.

Enjoy your newly acquired time off…but remember, the investment you make NOW will only help prepare you for this season and also in turn make what you do more enjoyable! Set up your practice sessions (when you do it) and your practice routines (what you practice) now! See everyone on Wednesday, June 14th!
